Lisa Aranas

Lisa Aranas, JD, LCPC, is an attorney and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She is also a certified personal trainer, holistic nutritionist, and a divorce and custody mediator. Before going back to school for her Counseling Degree, Lisa spent 4 years at Metlife, helping her clients plan for their financial security. Since receiving her counseling degree in 2001, Lisa has devoted herself doing what she loves best – helping couples, adults, adolescents, and families experience a better sense of harmony and happiness in their lives. She is experienced in individual, couples, family, group, and outdoor adventure therapy. Beyond helping her clients resolve their “brokenness,” she helps them understand the connection between their life experiences and finding purpose and meaning in their lives; to live and be their most powerful and authentic selves.

I see every person from a holistic point of view, recognizing that the mind, body, and spirit are intricately intertwined.

A holistic view also recognizes that one’s social interactions, financial situation, spiritual connectedness, and mental and physical health impacts daily life.  My knowledge of psychology, law, personal finance, personal training, nutrition, and spirituality gives me personal insight and understanding of how all these different areas of life can impact an individual, and by extension, couples, and families.

With my unique background, I bring to the table more than the standard psychological techniques to help clients move forward. This has allowed me to be in the very fortunate position of being able to help clients weather through many of life’s challenges.

My greatest passion is helping to bring peace, harmony, and happiness to anyone who I might have the privilege of interacting with. If I could bring this to the entire world, I would. I want so much for everyone to be able to live their highest potential – to be their best authentic self.

This is a very personal mission because I grew up with alcoholism and was subjected to experiences that led me to feel that I didn’t matter or that I wasn’t good enough. No person should ever be made to feel that way. Such destructive messages become the core of who someone is and affects every aspect of  his or her life. Having healed from this kind of past, I want to do whatever I can to help heal others as well. There is so much joy and peace that can be experienced once one gets to the other side.

If you choose to work with me, I would be honored to be a part of your journey to you finding your magnificent you.

Finding the right life coach or therapist can be difficult. There is knowledge and experience, and then there’s personality. I recognize that my personality has to be a good fit for you for us to work well together. You will find me to be warm, compassionate, respectful, and validating. (I also have a reputation for having a great sense of humor!). However, I will also be direct and completely open and honest with what I observe and what I think would be best to help move you forward in your life. Nonetheless, I respect your decisions, and regardless of what I might think, I will always honor what you think is best for you.

On a more personal note, I am a big believer in living a balanced life – work hard and play hard. When I am not working, you’ll find me running, hiking, biking, working out, learning something new, motorcycling, meditating, or just hanging out with friends.
